Two Loreto students selected for the Trinity Entrance Exhibition Awards 

Two students of the class of 2011, Ciara Corrigan and Ciara Shortall, have been selected for the Trinity College Dubin Entrance Exhibition Awards.  These scholarships are awarded to students who achieved more than 560 points in their Leaving Certificate examinations.  Ciara Corrigan is pictured above with Trinity Provost, Patrick Prendergast, and her parents.

Maynooth Scholarship

Sadhbh Parle with Deputy Principal Marie Therese Gallagher receiving her scholarship award at the N.U.I. Maynooth.  This scholarship was awarded to the 100 entrance scholars who received more than 500 C.A.O. points in their Leaving Certificate.

Fiona Tuite of our Leaving Certificate class of 2011 was awarded an entrance scholarship by the N.U.I. Galway.  This award was based on Leaving Certificate results and the top 60 students of the 3,000 who commenced their studies this year in the Galway University, received the prestigious award.  Well done to Fiona on her fantastic achievement.

This year`s annual prize-giving ceremony was a very successful occasion with a huge amount of awards presented. Recognition was given for our students’ academic and sporting achievements as well as the prestigious Frances Teresa Ball awards, the Harte Cup and the Mary Ward Award. The school was addressed by our Head Girls and Games Captains who made presentations to members of staff, including Mr O’Reilly who is retiring at the end of the year.
