Learning Support

Our team of Learning Support teachers and Special Needs Assistants work towards supporting students with Special Educational Needs and maximising their academic potential. Students who have been assessed by the Learning Support department and for whom Learning Support is deemed necessary, are catered for by means of specialised teaching in small groups and/or team teaching. Resource teaching is also made available to students with educational assessments and for whom the Department of Education has sanctioned support. In 2015, we opened our special class for students with a Moderate General Learning Disability. The purpose of the class is to give a student an opportunity to experience integration in a mainstream school environment, while following an educational plan specifically tailored to meet her needs. A placement in this class will be subject to recommendation in an educational report. Please contact the school for further details.
